Do dates really work ?

I read that if you each 6 dates a day for the last 4 weeks of pregnancy it should
Help with labor is that true ? Has anyone tried it? My family, grandma, aunt, mom etc all have had c section cause they couldn't dialate & im trying to increase my chances of a natural birth. Thank you.

I recommend reading ina may gaskins guide to natural childbirth, especially the chapter on sphicter law, and watching the business of being born on netflix which includes a great little history on the evolution of birthing practices in the last 100 years in the us. you're absolutely capable of having a vaginal birth if you insist on it and know your rights, and it's more likely to happen if you find a birth attendant who supports you in that from the start.
