I think that I have prejudice
Let me start by saying that as a woman, I'm pro equal rights and equal pay as men, I'm also pro choice, I support the LGBT community and I'm very much supportive of our veterans. I think that we must take care of those that don't have a voice, our fur babies, the elderly and of course, our nation's children. I don't understand how there have been so many acts of terrorism on certain groups of people including the most recent horrific attack on the LGBT community. I can't fathom having hatred for a group whose only difference from straight people is that they love the same sex- literally they are hurting no one and what they do doesn't affect anyone else. Sounds kind of ridiculous right? Hating a group for who they love? This brings me to my own prejudice. I do have hatred for a particular group of people. A hatred so deep, so personal that I would wish for them to endure the kind of attacks that our nation's innocent people have suffered through. I actually wonder why these two groups haven't been the recipients of hate crimes. These two groups in question are convicted child molesters and convicted rapists. I believe that there is no rehab for either group and that any of these "less than humans" deserve a far greater punishment than jail time in which most are separated from general population for their own safety. Their own safety! Let that sink in. What about the children and women and men whose lives have been altered as a result of their sick and disgusting ways? So in closing, that's my confession. I pray for a world in which innocent people are no longer murdered for the love they have in their hearts and that anyone who attempts to molest or rape another will face instant execution. I can dream right?
