When did you first see your OB??

I called today to set up an appointment since I just got my positive a few days ago. They said they won't see me until I'm 8-10 weeks. Is this normal? It seems like so long to wait! This is my first pregnancy so I guess I don't really know what to expect. Thanks!

That's totally normal! I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and they wouldn't see me till 8 weeks, that was the longest wait ever!! Good luck!

Yes, normal. My doc won't see you till 12w

I haven't met an ob just a midwife and that was at 11w.

Yep it's normal. My doctor saw me at 6 because I was high risk but otherwise it's 8 weeks.

I am 5w4d and they won't see me until I'm almost 10 weeks! The wait is brutal!

Yep found out at 3.5 weeks and will be seen 8 weeks 2 days

My first time seeing my actual OB was at my 10 week visit. I'd had an ultrasound done with them previously, at 6w2d but that was due to having gone to the ER the night before due to spotting. 8-10 weeks seems to be the average though :)

My first appointment was at 10 weeks, and they didn't do an ultrasound. They did check for he heartbeat.

Congratulations!  That's normal.  I found out at 4 weeks and had an appointment for 7 weeks.  I think many OBs don't see patients sooner because there isn't much to see on the ultrasound and it causes unnecessary worry.
