What does it mean if baby dropped?

My baby is now heads down now im 34 weeks does that mean baby has dropped? If not what exactly does it mean to have dropped? I am feeling alot of pressure when i walk its on and off i feel like i have to hold my stomach up and walk very slowly.

Being head down position and dropping are 2 different things. Head down position is exactly what you want, to encourage a smoother delivery. Dropping is when the baby has dropped past your pelvic bone. For every woman, this phase is different. Some women, like me, experienced the dropping phase by 8.5 months and have to put up with it until the baby decides to come out. Other women's bodies don't get into that phase until right before labor actually begins. While many women WANT the dropping phase immediately to see that they're carrying low.. Trust me.. It sucks when they drop BEFORE actual labor. It's VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

Just means baby moved down into your pelvic area and could be engaged in your cervix.  It's one of the first things to happen on the way to being in labor!
