I'm 36+4 today. I was checked 2 days ago and I'm 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. Doc said I would probably bleed a little and some cramping after being checked but also maybe not. I didn't have either until last night (over 24 hours after being checked) and I've had some brown spotting, and slight cramping on various spots of my belly during Braxton hicks. I figured if any cramping was related to being checked, it would be down low but my cramping has been randomly around my abdomen, and not during every contraction either. Is this really related to being checked or would that have happened within the first 24 hours? It has been over 72 hours now and still slight cramping and brown spotting here and there.
