87th Percentile?! Can I still deliver vaginally?

I went to my dr today. I'm 21 wks and I was told my baby is in the 87th percentile, basically a big boy lol. They project he'll be 9 lbs!!!!!!!! I about passed out when they told me that! I really want to deliver vaginally but now I'm afraid I won't be able to. Any thoughts?

You'll be fine....US aren't 100% accurate and babies grow in spurts. My baby was 77% at 20w 37% when he was born. Take those measurements with a grain of sand...

My son was 9lbs 11oz and I delivered vaginally. I'm also on the smaller side - 5'2" and the most I weighed before I got pregnant with him was 110

The reason I ask is because I was 11 lbs lol. My poor mom! She sdelivered me vaginally and the dr dislocated my shoulder which has been that way since. Typically that happened to bigger babies born vaginally. Just don't want it happening to mine!

I'm sure you'll end up delivering a baby that's much lower in weight than that.

I'm 25 weeks (technically 26 now since its past midnight) and my ultrasound this week they estimated my little girl to be like.. 72nd percentile? Because my husband and I are tall, and she's got really long legs and arms.. Told me she's probably 2lbs 2oz.

I'm not worried about it.

My baby was measuring 94th percentile at 18 weeks, then by 22 weeks dropped to 50th.  Dr said this is normal early on as baby's growth can even out.  Too early to predict how big your baby will be.

Thy told my sister she was having a 9lb baby and the baby came out at 7lbs 6oz.

One of my client's last baby weighed over 12 pounds and she delivered him vaginally with no epidural. But she didn't have another after that lol 😂😂

My mom deliver me at 10 pounds 15oz. You can do it. Your body was made for this.
