Anti depression pills???

My doctor is wanting to put on them and I don't know bcuz I've be we taken them before, HAS anyone had to , thought and opinions please

I'm on depression meds and have never been before until a few months ago. I'm 21w6d pregnant. They actually helped me I felt better and not so sad all the time. I've actually been smiling and enjoying small things in life. The first week I felt like crap on the meds but when I was use to them they really have helped me.

I have dealt with depression most of my life and was on medication for a couple of years. I go through periods of time where "I'm fine" and out of nowhere depression will set in again. I just recently started meds again about a month ago. Baby is being monitored closely with more frequent growth/anatomy scans. I honestly would rather be in a better state of mind for myself, my family, work and most of all my child. There have been several studies that have shown a higher chance of Post Partum Depression if it is not addressed or treated during pregnancy. It can also highly impact the bond between you and your baby, depending on the severity of your depression. The best advice I can give you, is do what YOU think feels right for you and your child and if you decide to take medication just voice your concerns to your doctor. If you ever need someone to vent to or talk to, I'd be glad to be a listening ear! Best of luck, momma!
