Is my baby sick?!?

My son is 2 months old and he's starting to have a rough cough and sounds congested. He doesn't have a fever but he has been sleeping a little longer then usual and has been a little cranky. I'm a first time mom so a lot of people think I'm being dramatic because he doesn't have a fever but hes only 2 months old am I crazy for wanting to bring him to a doctor?

First call your doctor and see what they say. But from experience a warm steamy bath with eucalyptus before bed helps. Also cupping your palm and patting on your baby's back should help break things up. Hope you babe feels better!

My son(almost 2 now) never has a fever when he's sick. Since your baby is so young there isn't really much you or any dr can do if it's just a cough/cold.. just give extra loving and cuddles, keep warm if no fever, if you breast feed let him comfort nurse, and use a humidifier and baby Vicks on chest and feet. If he's not getting better by Monday or gets fever of 100.5+ then contact dr.

Do you have a number for an advice nurse? It's good he doesn't have a fever, but I wouldn't hesitate calling the dr. Better to be safe! And he is so little that you're still getting to know him and his little body, so trust your gut and don't let others make you feel crazy for taking him in or calling!

Is he coughing up mucous/have a runny nose? I think it's worth just calling the ped and see what they suggest.
