Bloody Show
I'm a FTM mom here. This is a long story but please read all the way through. On Thursday I had a membrane sweep and yesterday I lost a little bit of my mucous plug. I went to bed last night and woke up around 3:00 am to go use the restroom. When I went to the restroom I wiped and the rest of my mucous plug game out. It was a yellowish /brown color. I got back into bed and sat for a second and all of a sudden I felt a really bad cramp (like when your on your period) and I felt something wet. I stood up thinking it was maybe my water breaking. When I looked down on the bed it was blood, only about a quarter size leak. I immediately ran to the restroom again and more blood came out when I peed. I freaked out and called the emergency on call doctor. He assured me that everything that was happening was normal and to call him back if I was experiencing period like blood that was filling a pad within a hour.
I was continuing to freak out but put a pad on a laid down in bed. Only tiny drops of red blood were going onto the pad but everytime I wipe there is a mucous like substance with more red blood. I called him a second time and he reassured me again but told me to go to the ER if I was this freaked out. I was finally able to lay down and get a little bit of sleep. I just woke up and now I think I am having contractions and every time I have one a little bit of fluid comes out with blood and then stops. I also asked the doctor when the bleeding stops and he said that it wouldn't....I am just curious if any of you mothers have experienced this. Continuing to bleed and spot after your bloody show?
