Do you celebrate Father's Day if you lost your baby?

My husband and I lost our son a year and a half ago. I don't know if we should celebrate Father's Day or if I should let it go. I don't want to make him upset but I don't want to pretend it didn't happen... Help!

There's nothing wrong with feeling emotions. Let him be sad, acknowledge him in his journey of fatherhood! Trying to be a dad is a very important stage of fatherhood! And you guys did conceive, so he was a dad, if only for a brief while... though I think that once a dad, always a dad. If he felt that love strong enough to feel sorrow from the loss, then he was/is a good dad..

I've buried a kid,  so I can understand where you are.  I think getting him something special,  or taking him to dinner,  giving him a massage,  things like that,  would be a great gift. I wouldn't make a big deal but I would do something. Because,  no matter how long you had your son, he was still a Dad and that's special. 
My ex husband likes to forget about her.  He didn't want any pictures of her,  didn't want her name mentioned,  nothing.  For me,  I carried her,  she is my daughter,  living or dead,  and I'm gong to count her as such and not forget. It's been 8.5 years for me.

Do what makes you happy, even if it is a day spent remembering the happy moments with your child or dreaming of a future with consecutive children in the future. If it is easier to not celebrate it then don't. Do what you want to do. Sorry for your loss ❤.

Maybe instead of celebrating it as father's day do like a lovers day. Father's day might only make both of you have a long hard painful day. By celebrating the love you have for one another and the baby you will be blessed with should be a ray of sunshine for you both. Life is good.  Do whatever you think k is going to. She yall feel best.
