Can anyone share how they Choose to protect themselves during sex and how confident they feel with it?

I got an IUD, which I've been pretty happy with (pretty mild side effects). Before we did anything, I asked him to get tested for STD's, even though it has been a long time since his last partner. Since I was a virgin and he came back clean, I feel good about the protection of my IUD for pregnancy protection and we have decided not to use condoms.

The old pull out method!

My SO and I used to use condoms but I gave up on that cause he would always slip them off during sex. Then we used the pull out method, which did work for us but I do feel that if we had kept using the method I would have ended up pregnant sooner or later. I did get pregnant but that was because we stopped using any type of method to prevent pregnancy. Now that I've had our daughter I have an IUD and I like it so far. I've had it for a little over a year now.
