Do you judge books by their covers?

I definitely do. Why read a book that has a boring cover? From experience, I learned that boring books have boring covers. For example, the cover of My Antonia depicted a wheat field. Yes, a wheat field. And the book was about as interesting as a picture of a wheat field.

Yes, which sucks. There are some amazing books out there with really stupid covers. Then sometimes I will get books with intriguing covers and they'll suck. So I usually just ask around to determine which book to get

Are we talking about actual books here... if so, I do judge by the cover. Not the cover cover, but the description on the inside sleeve. If a short synopsis of a book doesn't grab my attention, it's likely the book won't either.

Everyone does. Your mind automatically judges someone whether it's good or bad. I try not to let my judgments take a role in my behavior towards someone though.

Yeah. People who design book covers generally choose a design that describes the book. So if the cover doesn't appeal to me, it's probably because the book isn't designed to suit my tastes.
It's all different for textbooks and stuff like that, though. For stuff I need for school, I judge books by what people say about it on the Internet xD

Its hard not to, we are conditioned to think a certain way and first impressions matter. It's overcoming it that counts.
