Water births: are they worth it??

Question

I really want to have a water birth with my first child and am about 14 weeks along so I'm starting to look into it.
 
I just find it weird that I haven't heard anything negative about any water deliveries, is it that great??

If you've had one please tell me how it went and if you would suggest it for me! Thank you ladies ❤️

I recently had my first baby at home in a birth pool! It's hard as shit but that's just a small part of the whole experience. Being able to labor at home and deliver on my terms was great. Then to be able to get up, shower, and get in my own bed with my baby right after was the cherry on top👍🏼

I had a water birth at home with my first. It was amazing! It felt so much better once I was in the water. I am having another water birth... At the hospital this time due to the cost of home birth/our current insurance. I can't imagine doing it without. It is also supposed to decrease chance of tears. I did not tear with my daughter and she was 9lbs.

I've heard good things! only slightly negative thing was a friend who had a home 'water' birth who ended up not using the tub at all because she felt better laboring while moving around the house and she pushed standing up!

I'm having one, well could be any day now! I'm currently 38+2 lol and my pool is all set up!

I had a waterbirth and loved it. I didn't get in until the last 2 hours, because I was labouring at home. As soon as I got in the intensity decreased dramatically. 
I've only had one baby, so I can't make a comparison. But I did feel a whole lot better as soon as I got in.
