Considering an IUD?

Hey there ladies, 
I've been on Trinessa for 5 years now and I'm considering another form of birth control. The hormonal part of it is messing with my anxiety a little bit, and my psychiatrist is suggesting maybe going to a hormone free IUD. I have an appointment with my ob next week I just wanted to get some input, success or failure stories! Thanks so much:)

You have 2 options when it comes to IUDs.
Either hormonal or non-hormonal/copper.

The hormonal IUDs (Mirena, Skyla, Jaydess, Liletta etc) all contain low doses of the hormone levonorgestrel, which is a progestin. Mirena lasts 5 years, the other last 3.

Copper IUDs or Non-Hormonal IUDs are made of a copper covered plastic and last 10 years.

I myself have the Mirena IUD and it's been fantastic.
