What am I feeling?

I'm currently 34+5 and for the last week or so I've been getting a pinching type pain in my vagina. It happens through out the day randomly and it's pretty painful/ uncomfortable. 
Is that my baby pushing against my cervix or am I dilating? Or is it something else completely?

It's called lighting crotch. I wish I could say your cervix is dilating when it happens but it has been happening to me for over a month and I am still only a 1. My doctor said it is normal and not to worry. But man it hurts

I just learned this yesterday too & ive been having it daily for a week or so. I read that it can be the baby's head hitting or sitting on a nerve ending too. They aren't 100% sure what causes it, but it's normal & not dangerous unless it's accompanied by a fever (then it could be a sign of an infection). I feel for you, mama!! It hurts pretty badly 😖
