First time getting an IUD!

So I already went to my obgyn to look into birth control and she recommended Skyla for 3 years. I was just wondering if anyone who's gotten an IUD can tell me their experience. Did it hurt when they insert it? Any short term or long term symptoms? I'm nervous to get it!
