Ranting for just a moment!
I see lots of responses to women posting pics of their premature bumps. About how that's not baby bump. Although it is true MOST women throughout their first pregancy will not truly start showing till about week 12; however if you have had a previous pregnancy the likelihood that you will start showing sooner is a lot higher. A womans muscles remembers that previous stretching and knows it's in for the same ride. I wish I had pictures of the other 5 times pregnant just to show you. I am a size 6 and have the so called "bikini bridge". So being able to see ANY kind of changes in my body is very easy to see. My first pregnancy was emergency surgery for an ectopic, so I naturally had a lump the size of a golfball on my left side that could not be seen but was palpable. However there were no changed in my stomach size. Baby number 2 didn't make it past week 8 and not many changes happened as far as the growth of my stomach. Baby number 3 didn't make it past week 4 so to no surprise no tummy changes. Baby number 4 made it to week 10 but no further this caused major changes, my boobs grew 1 size and I had the official baby bump. At week 8 I had asked my OB if my bump was the real thing or was i just bloated? Well im sure you can guess the answer it was the expansion of my uterus and a true baby bump. Now with baby 5 it never made it past week 5 but I had the exact same bump I have with baby 6 at 4w6d. So I am just saying stop telling women that's not your baby it's just gas. Every pregancy is different, every woman is diffrent. Maybe she has a foward leaning pelvis and a complication of endometriosis you NEVER know what a woman is dealing with. We should all just be happy for each other and stop ripping each other down.
