Yeast infection & maca root?

I've never had a yeast infection before, but I track my cm so I know something isn't right. I just started taking maca root 4 days ago and this morning I had thick, clumpy, white discharge. I'm starting to feel a little crampy and have a mild burning sensation, so I can't help but to think there's a connection with the maca root.

Googling brought up some results of women who got yeast infections after starting maca.

I know how to treat a yeast infection and have stopped the maca; my question is: has anyone ever taken maca root and then got a yeast infection?

Yes !. I got a raging yeast infection after starting mama root and fenugreek I stopped and was treated for candida

I know this post is so old but I got one too! I was googling maca and yeast infections and this came up. Have you tried anything else that you've had luck with?! I'm so disappointed this happened, I was really looking forward to all the benefits of it!

I have! It causes me to have serious yeast infections! I love the energy level that it gives me, but I cannot take it. I’m curious if it could be an allergic reaction of some sort.
