Menstrual cups vs tampons/pads?

Question

So I'm thinking of venturing into using menstrual cups instead of tampons. I've done the research but would like to hear people's real life experiences with them. Please share your experiences with me! Good or bad.

At first they are intimidating but once you figure out how to get them in they're the best thing ever. You can't feel it, except when it needs to be emptied, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing a diaper or having all the moisture sucked out of my vagina. Sometimes, rarely, it will leak when my flow is super heavy and I don't get up in time to empty it, but otherwise it's saved my panties! All in all I love mine, and I'm never going back to pads and tampons.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Lunette cup! I always hated my period because tampons felt uncomfortable for me. The cup is great because unlike tampons, you dont have to change it constantly,  only morning and night. Its a little tricky to insert the first few times (kinda like when you first started using a tampon and had to figure out how it goes in) but it's easier than you'd think. You will need to be comfortable with blood during your period, which lets be honest, is no big deal. Also the cup sits lower than a tampon so you cant feel it and has less leaks. Personally I also like how their formulated without nasty chemicals. The cotton in tampons are treated with pesticides and you dont need that in your body.

I would try it when I'm on my period I wear both tampons and pads so I'm not embarrassed with leaks
