Missed misscarriage or misdiagnosed misscarriage
Anyone have experience or insight? Around April 10th was the first day of last period. May 16&17 tested positive with home test. June 9th appt I should be almost 9w. Vaginal ultrasound measures 5w3d no HB (usually not til 6w) they doubled checked with me on my dates and I told them the same thing. Dr mentioned misscarriage in early stages. I had no signs or symptoms. He had me do blood work same day. Results came back around hcg level of 31,000. Then requested more blood work a few days later levels went down about 5,000. Now is requesting a third blood work for June 23rd and saying its most likely a misscarriage but they want to confirm all three numbers. I've read in numerous threads that I could possibly have a late ovulation period that's why my calculations vs the Drs is off. I've also read that some women's hcg levels aren't even as high as mine and that the levels can come up! I made an appt for a second opinion June 17th with a new dr in a different office. She didn't examine me or give me an ultrasound. She said im having an abnormal pregnancy and that it's still safe to wait it out. I did blood work and don't have an ultrasound appt til June 28th. A nurse told me some babies are late bloomers and they can't find the HB til 8-12w! I don't want to jump the gun and go in for a d&c or the pill. I want to wait it out as long as it's safe. Still no cramps or bleeding. I've read tons of forums and have asked other women in my position and half said there was a heartbeat right before they were scheduled to do a d&c! Anyone been in my situation? Also I took two hpt the other day and came out positive.
