TMI WARNING

I started my period yesterday and I was relieved/worried that I didn't have any of my usual symptoms. I just took out a tampon that I had only put in an hour ago to find it coated (not full) in black, tar-like blood. It freaked me out to say the least.

I am 20.

My fiancé and I have regular sex.

I completely skipped a period two months ago, but other than that everything has been totally normal until now.

I know I need to talk to my doctor about this, but wanted to see if anyone else has ever had this happen.
