Low lying placenta, but no previa?

I recently had an ultrasound where it was determined that I had a low lying placenta, but not previa. The Dr. didnt really go into detail about what that means or if there are any associated concerns. Anyone else have this diagnosis?

Meeee. Basically the baby could be delivered vaginallh still, also it could move from being low lying. I have another scan at 32 weeks to determine what the best course of action is. I'm 26 weeks now xxx

Mine was low at 18 weeks only about 1cm from cervix and at my 22 weeks scan it moved up.  As the uterus grows the placenta will usually shift upwards.  I wouldn't stress about it.

If it's low but not covering your cervix, it should move up pretty quickly as your belly grows. No biggie :)

Me. At 17 weeks I had a placenta previa and at 19 weeks it changed to a low laying placenta. Which means the birth canal is free of placenta.
Since I'm still early and my uterus still has to grow a lot they don't see a problem as the placenta will move upwards with the grow of the uterus (it can't go back down..so don't need to worry)
Which means baby can be delivered naturally.
You might feel movement a little later as the placenta will be laying on top towards your belly instead of at the back.
