Late periods

Can stress cause a late period? I've been getting disappointing news for like a week or two now and my period was suppose to start yesterday and didn't. On the pill use condoms last time had sex was like on the 7th. I've been feeling fine just been under a lot of stress plus I've started new pills and this is my second pack. Is my body just adjusting to it?
