Is it weird to name your baby a state/place name if you don't have any particular ties to that place? 
Those that have named their baby these or have these names, what is your experience with it?

I don't think that's weird at all. And I feel like it's not anyone's place to say that it is or not. Only the baby's parents can decide that. What name are you speaking of? I'm super curious, there aren't many states I can think of that would sound good as a name haha
