Is it normal for your baby to have a dimple/dent above his butt?

My son was born with that dimple. I forget what it's called. They checked it at every check up until he was one but it's still there and hasn't caused any harm. But not sure if it's normal or not.

My son has one. I noticed it right away. We've had it checked and everything is just fine. When we have long car rides I always make sure I keep it extra clean and not irritated. The dr said once he gets older and hair grows there it could get infected with ingrown hairs and such but we have a few years.

My son was born with a sacred dimple. They did do a ultrasound to make sure it wasn't holding fluid or anything that can affect him in the future, they were worried about it causing problems with his walking/motility as he grew. But the ultrasound showed up clear and some people do have it I think if the doctors Are concerned with the depth of it they will order further testing.
