Does P.I.D cause infertility?

Thinking Pelvic Inflamitory Disease does cause infertility. Would just like to know what u guys think. And please be nice.

It can cause infertility if left undiagnosed for an extended period of time. That was my biggest fear when I found out I had chlamydia, but my doctor reassured me that if you haven't already, you need to be officially diagnosed through a series of pelvic exams. If they conclude that you have some of the symptoms like a tender pelvic region and rule that it's pid, I believe they give antibiotics to kill it off. The only real worry is if you've had it for 5, 10 years and it's never been looked at. If you're still really worried you can always talk to your doctor about fertility testing
