When to Introduce Cereals

OK Mom's,

I need some feedback.
My son turns 4 months old tomorrow and it seems like he's always hungry.  I've heard that the longer you wait closer to the 6 month time frame the less chance your child will develop food allergies.

What do you all think and what all can I start introducing?

My sons pediatrician recommended starting solids around the 4-6 month mark. He recommended veggies though. Some cereals have no real nutritional value.

Never on cereal and baby food or table food should not be started until 6 months and not because of food allergies actually they reccomend you try peanuts and eggs and other high food allergy foods to reduce the risk but if you try solids before 6 months it can mess their stomachs up for life.
