Are u ladies having anyone over at ur home after u give birth?

Im kind of debating on it, iknow my father in law and sister in laws are going to want to come over alot since its their first grandbaby/niece , & they are super excited! Im going to feel bad if i tell them not to come over right after atleast for 2 weeks but im gonna have to lol. I mean they'll be able to visit at the hospital tho 😊 .. ( first time mommy btw)

Anyone have experience telling someone? Did they understand ?

No one at the house for at least 2 weeks. They can see baby at the hospital the day AFTER birth, where visits are limited and nurses help to set rules.

I'm expecting everyone in our family to come over a bunch and I can't wait. My mom will be staying with us to help out for a few weeks and my husband's family is 20 minutes away. Everyone is super excited about our little girl and to me family is what it's all about. I'll have plenty of time to get into a routine and be alone with my baby later. I want help and to share the newest addition to the family. I want my baby showered with the love of her family.

It's not great for babies to have too many new faces around them all at once. It can overwhelm your newborn and they are more sesepitble to getting sick. Limit a little to close friends and family only. Let the family know it's nothing against them, baby comes first.

I'm letting limited visits. Both our families live 10-20 away so they are welcome to come but if it's disturbing breastfeeding or naps or I'm just too exhausted then they will have to leave.

Basically all my family will be here for the entire Month of August. My parents are coming from guam, sister and neice coming from oregon, brother coming from California. Aunt coming from florida. A friend coming from texas. They always say they're coming but usually it changes, so we'll see.

Two weeks after she is born I'm having a welcoming home party so everyone can see her. I'm kinda scared I don't want every touch my baby tbh😓😓

Hopefully money allowing my so will be able to take the first week after birth off then my mom wants to take a week after that but so far other than that those 2 are the only ones I know who would be around

You should never turn family down you never know when you may need them.  Having your mom there to help isn't fare ti the other family if you say wait two weeks they are there to show love.  I really know where ur coming from when I had my son there was always ppl and I was overwhelmed I just had to say please don't touch cause of germs and told them when they left see ya in a couple of days that way they get the hint and everyone is happy.
