Which one is safer for the baby?

I really like this idea but I'm scared something like a pillow could fall onto the baby.

Pillow won't fall. I'd go for it. Such easy access to baby, especially if you're breastfeeding.

You think you will squish then or something but your mommy instincts come in HARD and fast. You will wake up constantly to poke them and watch them breathe and snuggle them without once moving so they are safe and comfortable

Honestly I'd go for the bassinet. We have a pack and play with the newborn bassinet thing. The one thing I will never budge on will be co-sleeping. It's never going to happen with me. Just won't
 Far to dangerous. The extention thing is neat but when it comes to anything sleep related I'm far to paranoid because I know the things that can happen. 
I'll take safety for baby over convenience

I think the bassinet is definitely safer.  The crib is very cute but in my opinion not the safest way for baby to sleep.  Don't worry you have plenty of time to decide and even practice if you decide on parenting classes.  Good luck sweetie!  I know that your gonna do wonderful. Every mom gets the grove of things once their baby arrives.  You will find what suits you and your baby when the time comes.

I ended up cosleeping with my son, his dad was terrified of rolling on him so he moved to the spare room (other issues there too but 😝). Cosleeping was so much easier once we finally bit the bullet. My son took AGES to feed & AGES to settle if I got up to feed, my sleep literally doubled or more when he was in the bed and I could semi-sleep through feeding and he settled so much easier just lying with me. My vote is for the sidecar all the way, not just for "safety" but for your sanity & sleep too

We used a bassinet and it made for easy transition to crib. Bassinet was right against the bed so I could reach over and check on baby. Ours had a mini light on it that made middle of the night panic of trying to figure out what is going on a little less crazy.

Whatever you choose is temporary and will be just fine. Trust your instincts.

They're both safe. I prefer the sidecar bc it has better ventilation and the baby will be at the same level.

Oh loving that first one! I really like that it's open to the bed and the same level! I have a mini arms reach but I have to reach down and pick him up which sucks

With my arms reach co sleeper I will be putting mine below my pillows so nothing can get in there by accident

Arms reach co-sleeper is what we have. My nephew loved it but my daughter wants to sleep on her daddy's cheast of on her side by me.
