Flu like symptoms

Anyone getting towards the end and experiencing flu like symptoms? Last night I got violently ill with puking and diarrhea. U thought I had the flu but checked my temp which was 97.1 (normal for me). I also thought maybe food poisoning but I'm completely fine this morning. I've felt lots of movement which makes me feel relieved and been drinking my water. My husband googled that it can be a sign of labor coming on, but some say it can happen that day or in a couple weeks. Anyone else have this experience or know? Waiting on a call back from my doctor though to make sure he thinks everything is fine.
