Cervix question 😕

This is my fourth pregnancy and with my other three they would have checked my cervix by now (I'm 37+4) but they haven't even spoken about that. Is that normal?

I've seen them numerous times for excruciating braxton hicks contractions and lots of pressure and yet they still haven't checked me! I'm really worried my baby girl will be born at home because I'm too afraid to go to hospital just to sent home. We have to use taxis as we don't drive so we can't afford multiple trips either.
