No it does not work or all the time my boyfriend stimulated my nipple I would be having a premmie... Same with pumping the baby will come wen ready

I was 40+2 with my son and set to be induced at 41. I did not do the membrane sweep, as I wanted him to come on his own. Two days later I was miserable it was 95 degrees with 100% humidity. I read up on it, made sure it was something I wanted to do. I started at 12am. Its not just rubbing and it can get uncomfortable, I started getting consistent contractions about an hour later. I was having irregular ones through the afternoon and evening. I had to keep it up to keep the contractions coming. They eventually started coming on their own. It can cause more powerful contractions, and increase intensity. I went to the hospital that next morning and had my son that night. Like I said it's uncomfortable at times and you have to be consistant. I would not recommend this for someone who is not full term 40 wks or more. Do  your research and read up or watch a video. Its not as easy as just stimulating them or having your SO do it. There are certain techniques and ways to do it. Good luck with everything and be careful, make sure you watch your contractions and go to the hospital when you feel you need to.
