Is it normal that my dr hasnt told me my hcg levels?

I think because many women were undergoing fertility treatments on this app - it seems to be standard for fertility RE or IVF Clinics to do blood pregnancy tests to check HCG levels.

My sister never had her HCG levels checked throughout her whole pregnancy (conceived naturally), yet I had mine checked three times (conceived via IUI).

I'm on my 5th pregnancy (3rd to reach viability) and I've never have my hcg checked. My doctors just did a urine test at the first appointment and then proceeded to normal treatment (Doppler around 12 weeks, first u/s at 18 weeks, etc).

With my first daughter I never even heard the term HCG. I had no idea what it was until after having a miscarriage and my doc wanting my levels the next time I got pregnant.

You usually know and track them if you're high risk or have a history of problems. So it's good you don't know! ☺️

I never got HCG levels with my daughter.. I haven't even had blood drawn at all yet in this pregnancy. I have my first appointment today, but I was told it would just be urine and an ultrasound, no blood draw

They never told me mine. Honestly, once the pregnancy was confirmed via bloodwork and ultrasound, I didn't even care. I was just happy that there was a baby in there 😊
