Bleeding after sex

I had a really rough sex session last night. It was maybe an hour & a half long. I was spotting last night because of my birth control pills. I was confused on why i was bleeding though because i usually don't bleed until the end of my pill pack & I'm only starting the second pack. But anyways, whenever i bleed it's always brown spotting. But after last night, I'm bleeding red blood (which i rarely ever do) So I'm wondering is this normal? Is the bleeding from the rough sex & when will it subside?
