Ovulation test?? Really confused

So this is what my ovulation tests have looked like for the past 6 days. Today is cycle day 17 I know for it to be positive the line has to be as dark or darker than the control line. But the 2nd line is barely there. My doctor has me on metformin because she said she believes I have a slight case of pcos. She also has me taking provera for 2 weeks and then 2 weeks off, at which time I get my period. She said that I can ovulate while taking provera but I've read so many things that it can actually stop ovulation. I'm so confused..does anyone have any input?
