Prostitution - Ban?

Rebecca • 16✨
Some people believe legalising prostitution in countries where it is not, could reduce aspects of crime, improve public health, increase tax revenue, help people out of poverty and off the streets, and importantly allow consenting adults to make their own choices in life. It is known that prostitution is said to be a victimless crime, especially in America where 11 states such as Nevada have banned it. So, opponents believe legalising prostitution would increase sexually transmitted infections or diseases like HIV and AIDS, global human trafficking, and violent crime such as rape and homicide. Overall it is apparent that prostitution is deemed immoral and commercially exploitive, that it empowers the criminal underworld, and provokes the repression of women by men or vice versa.
