Breastfeeding after breast reduction??

Has anyone had a breast reduction and been able to breastfeed?? I really want to but I'm hesitant to buy stuff I will need if it's not going to happen. My doctor basically said its a 50/50 shot, which I understand. I was just hoping someone out there has been through it already?

Hold off on buying stuff and set the money aside-- you can try nursing and pumping in the hospital (they will help you) and see where things go from there. My sister had a reduction at 17 and they told her she'd be fine to nurse-- I didn't realize that there was a chance it would mess with that for some. The surgeries must have been a little different.
