FTM what do I need?!

I'm confused about what necessities I need for
The baby. I didn't get too many things from my baby shower but I got gift cards & want to buy only the things I need. I have a crib, diapers, wipes, detergent, play hard, high chair, bibs, receiving blankets.... Sorry lol what else???

So the way I look at it you for now red the essentials! Newborns don't need much! ☺️ the rest you can get at the shop if it's needed

FOR BUB
Car seat

Crib/bassinet (wherever bub is sleeping)
Sheets and mattress protector
Wraps/muslin cloth for swaddling etc
(I didn't use a dummy for a couple of months as we were breastfeeding)

Onesies 0000 000 
Singlets
Mittens (my toddler was a scratcher and we needed these)

Nappies
Wipes or cloths (I've got friends with toddlers that still prefer a cloth and warm water to clean bub!)

Unrefined organic Coconut oil (we used this in baths, as massage oil, for my sore nipples, for cradle cap, nappy rash, almost everything!)

FOR YOU
feeding bras
Breast pads
(It took me over a month to decide I wanted a breast pump) 
(A normal pillow can be used in place of a feeding pillow this is up to you)

Maternity pads/incontenience nappies
Big comfy undies!
Witch hazel (can help with healing and hemmorids) 
I used a postpartum girdle to help my belly I do think this is an essential you can definately use the cheap shapewear though (kinda does the same thing!)

Lots of easy healthy snacks! You will need these!! Especially if breastfeeding lol newborns spend most of their time feeding or sleeping, I spent the first couple of weeks on my chair in the lounge lol it's very easy to forget to eat and drink!

Also remember that if you don't have something you can go get it! Unless you live hours from the shop 😁😁

Bottles breast pump lol socks hats bathtub baby body wash pacifier crib sheets burp cloths , not sure if you have said clothes. Alcohol for belly button hand mittens just going off the top of my head sorry if I missed anything.

Check out registry lists... I went off of the one on the babies r us website. I had a friend and mom of three come over to see if I missed anything and she just kept saying how well I did on getting the necessary items. The list will tell you how many of each item you should register for... For example 3 crib sheets. I used that as a guide and took into conservation our lifestyle. Like I didn't register for a high chair because we typically don't sit down at the table for dinner since my husband works night. If I decide we need one in the future, I'll buy it myself.
