Progesterone..?

Question

After 2 miscarriages my OB has prescribed me progesterone pills to take twice a day two days after ovulation. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17, I'm now 20. Has anyone here had a successful pregnancy with progesterone after a loss? I'm just curious.

My sister in law lost 3 babies before the doctor finally put her on progesterone pills, I now have a wonderful healthy 18 month old nephew :) she did say they made her pretty sick (nausea and vomiting) but it certainly helped. She is currently 6 weeks pregnant again and is on progesterone again.

I am on it now after an early mc and a chemical pregnancy. I was progressing slowly at first until I begged them to test my progesterone. Sure enough, it was low and I was on Crinone the next day. I saw/heard a heartbeat and measured 5w4d on Friday! So I think things are looking up!

I had my first miscarriage 2 weeks ago at 6 weeks. Heard the babies heartbeat 2 days before. My progesterone level was 2. My OB said the reason it was low was due to something wrong with the baby. And when I questioned the need for progesterone supplementation in order to conceive the next time around, she didn’t sound like she wanted to do that. Now, I have had irregular periods for a very long time and at the end of June, she put me on progesterone to kick start my period. Had a period 2 weeks later. Then, didn’t have another period after that one, so she then put me on another 10 days and progesterone in September and was going to start femara since we had been trying to get pregnant. Ended up taking a preg test and it was positive at the end of September. I guess I’m super worried regarding my next pregnancy and if I will have the same issues. Thoughts anyone?? I have a good relationship with my OB, so I’m sure I could talk with her and see if we could do progesterone levels to double check my numbers, but I just wanted someone else’s opinion. I have had 2 mc and when I got pregnant the third time, my OB put me on progesterone for the first trimester only. I am now 28w3d with my baby girl!!!
