Maybe if you find a few different styles of things or take him with you. He might like some then. That's what I did with mine and he helped pick out colors. :) 

I don't really think my boyfriend cares, he's only ever noticed when I wore one once and once he realized they didn't cover much he was like "wait these are super tiny, let me see" but didn't really express how he felt about it 

My girlfriend doesn't quite notice which I'm wearing most times. But because she doesn't wear thongs and when she does notice I am wearing them she doesn't like them because she thinks they are uncomfortable and feels sorry for me.
