My fiancé and I had to make a tough choice about which of our families to live with when the baby is born. I wanted mine and he wanted his and I decided to follow his lead on this one. (I didn't want there to be any kind of immasculating consequences). I try to avoid his family best I can besides his son of course. The two of us hang out all day and I take care of his while my fiancé works almost every day. His family is the type that always has something to complain about or one up you on and I just don't take well to there negativity. I'm a ftm and I can only imagine how emotional and stressed I will still be in the hospital so I want to say that they aren't allowed to visit using the argument that we will be living with them anyways. But I still want my family to be able to visit. How do I bring this up to my fiancé without offending him? Or am I being too selfish?
