Not knowing how to spell/bad grammar
I am so sad to see how many women on this app don't know how to spell simple words like 'definitely' 'curious' and even 'pregnant' correctly!
And when people correct them, others jump to their defense. "What does it matter?" "Who cares?" "Maybe that's how they like spelling it", as if it's okay that people are uneducated or even worse, they themselves are okay with being uneducated.
I understand that everyone has different levels of comprehension and has had varying access to education. I myself grew up poor but it was always of huge importance to know how to read and spell properly.
I understand that there are many factors leading to why this is a problem, but my question is: why are we all okay with it? If you spelled something wrong, why DON'T you want to know the correct way to spell it? Why is it offensive if someone corrects you? Don't you want to learn?
The only way we can set a good example for our children is by doing our best to educate ourselves so that we can pass on those good values to them.
Why are people okay with remaining uneducated?
