I think it is just because it's not my thing. The ONLY time I'd ever where something like this would be to some super fancy schmancy party I had to pay $$$$ to go to.(but I wouldn't even go to something like that) A baby shower to me isn't fancy. I wore jeans and a regular maternity shirt, but that's me, I'm totally casual.

Depends on the baby shower tbh. 
My first baby shower was in a cute hall in Calabasas and I had a similar dress on, but everyone who attended dressed the same way so it was alright.
I'd say wear really comfy things tho even if its a fancy nancy baby shower because you're the mommy and its your day and you need to enjoy it💓
