Sushi & pregnant?!

Is it okay to have sushi while pregnant? As long as you dont eat it every day?

I've eaten raw sushi from reputable places with all 3 of my pregnancies, and all of my children are 100% healthy. Just don't too crazy and avoid tuna.

You're not suppose to have Mercury while pregnant which is in sushi. My doctor told me as long as I don't eat any raw sushi I'm fine & not to eat it everyday. Try the rolls!

If you get it from a reliable place it's probably fine, but I usually just order cooked types of sushi to be on the safe side. I ate a good bit of sushi during my first pregnancy and didn't have any problems.

The problem is that the one time you eat it, if it happens to have listeria from undercooked meat, it can be very dangerous to the pregnancy. If it's a reputable place you're familiar with then it's probably okay, but personally it makes me too nervous. You could always eat rolls that are not raw like crab, shrimp tempura etc those are safe.

Shouldn have raw fish...  Or predatory fish (tuna, shark, etc). That being said, one of my friends are it every day and no problem.  So idk.  I am personally avoiding it.
