Thoughts on Going to wedding?

I have a wedding for my husband's cousin 11-19. I am due November 6th and planning for VBAC but know there is a high possibility of C-Section.  His parents expect us to go, but I feel hesitant about replying yes for both of us not knowing what type of birth to expect. I also have a 1.5 year old so between a newborn and a toddler, a wedding 2 weeks after doesn't seem realistic for us. If I have another c-section, I'm def going to need help from my hubby. I know if we don't go, his parents won't be understanding as they have offered other family members to babysit. It's a while away still but his parents keep bringing it up. Would you go if you were in the same situation?

Personally I'd tell them no. And that it's not reasonable for them to expect you to be there with a fresh baby and toddler that quickly after birth. My family will be lucky if I make it to thanksgiving. And the only reason I want to is for the food 😂

I don't understand how they think offering a babysitter is somehow reasonable in their minds. Also, it's a cousin, if it had been one of his siblings, then I could understand a little more, but honestly, that's really inconsiderate of them.
Talk to the bride/groom and explain that because you don't know what you're expecting birth wise, you don't think it's a good idea for you and your husband to attend. Apologize if you want and send them something nice.
As for his parents, tell them, thank you for the offer, however you and your family will be staying home after the birth of your second child. If they don't understand, it's not your job to explain it to them.

RSVP yes for the hubby and no to you. That is not unreasonable. It's unreasonable they expect you to go! In China, women aren't even allowed to leave the house or even shower for 40 days after they have a baby. You need your rest. Let hubby deal with the family and maybe you can have a friend come over and help you out if you need it.

My cousin had her son a few weeks before my wedding and they didn't come. I was totally fine with it. I mean first off that's a lot of new people with germs and it could be overwhelming for the baby. Second (and selfishly) I didn't want the new baby to steal my spotlight...Third, that's a lot for a new mom. I wouldn't feel bad for not going. I'm sure the bride and groom would understand.

I would tell them you can't go. IF your baby arrives on time, baby will be SO small still and shouldn't be around that many people, if you end up with a c section you will still be healing and pushing yourself for a wedding isn't healthy. Just not worth the risk to you or baby I'd say. They are family, they'll be disappointed but they will get over it.

This is the time to put you and your family first. Two weeks after giving birth is a lot to ask... Especially when you never know how a birth is going to go. How does hubby feel? If you guys have any bit of doubt in your mind, then go with no. His parents will just have to get over it. You and your baby's health and well being first, period.

Whether vbac or repeat c-sec, I would definitely say no.  Plus having a toddler and a newborn can be a bit much.  Vbac approved as well. 
Yrs ago, we went to a wedding when ds was just a toddler.  I ended up having to sit with him in the nursery the entire time and leaving from the reception early since he was getting reception.

OK this does not have anything to do with what your asking so sorry in advance, but how do you feel about a VBAC? My doctors want me to try all of a sudden and I'm kind of nervous.

Probably not but if you must maybe just do the ceremony and come home for the reception. Me, personally, I wouldn't go.
