Not dilated/effaced but went into labor??

Question

I'm 40 weeks today, only 20-30% effaced and a fingertip dilated 😣 Has anyone gone into labor soon after being told they are not dilated/effaced??

Yup, I did. I was 1cm dialeted for 2 weeks straight and suddenly my water broke. By the time I got to the hospital I was only 3cm. After the epidural I went from 5cm to 10cm in less than 30min. Pushed 3 times and bby girl was in this world. 
Don't worry, your body knows what to do at the right moment. Try taking the raspberry leaf tea. I think that healped me. Good luck!!
