4th of July with a newborn

Where I live we have this big event call red white and boom and thousands of people show up and my whole family goes every year, and my baby will be 11 days old. Would it be okay to take my baby? I'm trying not to be the mom that shelters him too much and keeps him from the world but I'm a FTM so I really don't know when is a good time to start Taking him out in public. We won't be anywhere near the fireworks and we'll only be there a couple of hours
