Personally I hope I would never lose my child in a crowded place. If we go to a busy place he's either in a stroller or holding my hand. But I'm about to have his little brother so it will be harder to keep track and just in case anything happens I might do this when going to big places. I watch my child good but because anything could happen and I don't know the future this could come in handy.

Yes. And some kids just don't listen. My parents told me not to run off all the time but I still did it as I was a curious child. It's not harming them because it's liquid bandaid. I've used it on scratches when I had to go to the beach.

I don't see anything wrong with it. If you didn't want to write on skin for example if its sensitive, make badges to pin onto clothes or wristbands

My family members always tell the kids that if they get lost, to find a mom with children. All children have a badge with emergency contact info. In 15 years it has only been necessary once (my cousin got lost in Disneyland) but, I'd rather be safe and have a plan *just in case* than sorry.

I'm not sure drawing on your child is a good idea or nail varnish.... But if they are the type of child to just walk off, maybe they need to be taught not to? If you're terrified irrationally, put your mind at ease by leaving a note in their sock for them to give to a kind stranger in case, you can also get bracelets with this info on them x
