Terrified of Giving Birth

Is anyone else absolutely petrified of giving birth? I'm a FTM and I can't decide if my fear is normal or not. Just the idea of going to the hospital, contractions, water breaking, IV's, checking dilation, epidural (if I choose to have one)...there is not one thing that doesn't scare me. Is this normal or are my fears a little over the top? If you have already had a baby please tell me something to ease my fears!
