Too Late for 3D Ultrasound??

Question

LONG story short, I want a 3D ultrasound. I'm 32 weeks and had my growth scan already. She decided to keep her face covered so I didn't get any then. She's head down already and working her way into position. I'm afraid I'll never get my 3D ultras!! Thoughts?

I would say it's too late if the baby was born, but it's not so you still have some time.

If you want them done I'd suggest to do it now. There is a bit of a time limit just because of positioning and room and stuff. I had mine done approx 31 weeks and he was head done too 😊

I was always told 32 weeks is like the cut off then they start getting too big and pushing their face into the placenta so you can't get a good pic!!

I had an ultrasound at 33+4 and she kept her face covered the entire time too. But honestly I don't think the pictures would have come out good regardless because if where she was at. He just switched it to 3d while we were doing our growth scan, so no harm done. But if you don't mind paying for it either way then go for it!

My insurance covers it but it must be done within 29-33 weeks. I had mine done at 32+3 because my doctors office won't do them before 31 weeks. We got great photos but I wouldn't have paid for them simply because it wasn't something I wanted done. I would suggest getting in quickly for them because the babies are quickly running out of room in there.

I had mine done at 34 weeks with twins. And when I went in they said it *might* be too late for good pictures. Baby Girl had her hands in her face, but I think we still got some decent pics 😊 First pic is Baby A (boy) who is already head down in my pelvis and facing my back. Second pic is Baby B (girl) who is also head down, but just does NOT like ultrasounds! 😂

I got mine today at 31 weeks. I have always been told 28-32 weeks is the best time to get a good picture of baby. My son had his hands in his face the whole time and we only got 1 good pic of his face, hes also head  down. It was a great experience though but i probably wouldnt do it again in a hurry as it cost me $100 and i only got 1 pic but everyone different. pic below :)

i had 3D last week at 35 weeks and got better pictures than I did previously....
